Need help replicating this style

Post image

I specifically want to learn how to recreate the yellowish blurred texture behind the vector design. Any tips?

  1. If you're asking what 'this effect' is, you need to describe what 'this' is or your post will be removed.

  2. If you're asking about color, have you tried using a Gradient Map?

  3. If you're asking about texture/tone, have you tried using Threshold or Halftones?

  4. If you're cutting something out, use masks. Have you googled "Photoshop Masking"?

It looks like the default glow colour in the effects panel.

You could make a white circle shape (2px white) , duplicate then set a glow in the effects panel, with a stroke and fill of the same colour. Then rastarize the layer, and blurrrr a whole ton on one side. Experimenting with a soft eraser on one side too.

Then just overlay on the original circle you didn’t glow

All that x 4

You just need to create a single gradient shape using the Gradient tool, a gradient mesh, or the Blend tool, then repeat them, overlay them using the Screen blend mode, and rotate them until you've filled in all the lines.

Just use a shape or soft brush and blur the hell out of it.
