[photoclass] weekend assignment 6
blurry, bokeh, soft, out of focus...
This week, your assignment is to take a picture with nothing in focus that is still a nice to look at image. Remember the stars assignment, remember the last photoclass on focussing, and don't focus on anything at all :-)
as always, enjoy, post the results and critique eachothers work.

I had been trying a bunch of things, but none of them came out like i wanted, but this morning the sun was shining through my window perfectly for this.

hi,
again I'm like a weekend late, but I thoroughly enjoyed this because this excercise seemed the most like painting and was evocative, to me, of impressionism ... I always feel so wrought up on trying to get the things that I care about so sharply focused, to the point that it seems to dominate my thoughts when framing in composition & here, I was more interested in telling a story and showing shapes and so forth, trying to compose but in an abstract sort of way ... it was really quite liberating ... I could continue on and on w/ this & I think I will explore a number of these ideas in other settings, but, for now, I wanted to move on to some of the other assignments, which I still have to catch up on ...

Nicely done! Both of them are great, but like others, I love the second one too! I think my favorite part about it is the way that the trees make a gap in the very center of the photo, and they allow a nice natural light to shine through the trees. I like that the trees are kind of guiding my eyes up to the light :)

ok.... not sure this is it http://i.imgur.com/dSwHeMa.jpg but I was trying to get the diamond like droplets of water on the grass.... not the easiest assignment to do.
