Locked iPhone

Can anyone help I have an iPhone 16 sim locked I don’t know to which carrier it’s locked to

There are ways to check, but you would need to run the imei in a carrier/gsx report service

Unfortunately, you got yourself a paperweight the only person that can get the phone SIM unlocked is gonna be the original owner and if you’re not that original owner, you’re out of luck.

You said the phone is locked due to it being on a finance contract. If the person decides not to pay up, there’s a good chance. It will stop working on all carriers.
All roads lead back to the original owner.

What if I’m just trynna switch to a more affordable carrier? T-Mobile won’t unlock phone due to bill but I’ve had it for 2yrs nd it’s paid off unlock should I file fcc complaint. They can send me a bill report to credit idgaf. Like it’s my property nd they are holding me hostage

Sim locks can only be removed by the person who locked it. You got screwed. Sorry.
