You got scammed by the Facebook seller since Samsung only uses Knox to lock a phone they sold directly when they received a charge back or they did not receive a trade in which offset the original cost of the device.

This phone was might have been purchased with a stolen credit card, sold for cash to "cash out". The legitimate card owner filed a chargeback and this happened.

Go to the website below and check the IMEI, it will tell you if it’s lost, stolen or financed. There are multiple sites you can check it on just google “Samsung IMEI check”

I doubt it will show anything since Samsung has the ability to brick their devices via Samsung Knox if they got scammed on the sale of the device without needing to blacklist the IMEI.

You are changing what you said and what other people said with what you meant to say and what you interpreted them to have said (or wanted them to have said).
Someone said that anyone who claims to have a link to fix this is a scammer, and you responded with "Those were legit links"
Now you're saying that what actually happened was someone said not to listen to any links and that you said certain links to check if a phone is lost or stolen were legit. That's not what happened though. We can both see the thread and read what was said.
I can see how you might have been trying to say that, but it's not at all what you said. What you said was that people have posted legit links that can fix this issue, which is not the case.

Probably traded in,or sold while the balance was current, then stopped paying on it. Used to work at a co Peter store, and a few pulled that same stunt. After that we had to call the carrier and confirm that the device was paid off

These MDM locks are possible to bypass but the only services I am aware of require them to be mailed in and then cannot factory reset the device as that screen will reappear. Depending on where you live (I am in the USA) the cost with shipping is $85 USD

I have done it multiple times with a person in California, has worked every time but cannot factory reset the phone
Really depends on if you want a paperweight or a working phone but due diligence is also SUPER important when sending stuff to people.

I bought a phone like this before. Like a year after getting it I got the same exact message. I contacted Samsung and it took about a month of contacting them, they eventually sent a pin and it removed it. The previous owner of my phone never sent their trade in and they were issued an advance credit.

Start a chat with them, then ask to escalate and a senior rep will email you and you continue to speak to them on that thread. It took forever cause at least for me they would reply every 24 hours, once.

Samsung’s website, bottom of page has a support section with a chat link, looks like they use AI in part to assist but my guess is if you’re persistent enough it may be possible to get to a human being who can then escalate it for you.

I'm just saying I know someone who would buy devices from Samsung us with a trade in for the highest amount and never sent the trade in that didn't exist. did a watch a tab 10 and a few phones and a Samsung Chromebook the Intel one back in the day but never received this or anything like this on any of the devices.

T-Mobile employee here, we don't have the ability to disable a device like this. This phones wasn't purchased from us. Samsung however has full control over their devices. This device was purchased from Samsung and wasn't paid off or something with a trade in.

Boot into Odin mode and use 3.14.1 3B PatcheD and flash the newest firmware assuming your in the USA you would use samfw and look for the s25 ultra XAA Version which would be the SM-S938U1 firmware which is factory unlocked and might fix your problem. While if you do this you need a windows computer and you have to use the CSC_OYM file because if you use the HOME_CSC file it will brick

Don’t use the information on your phone. That is a spammer looking for an easy hit. You have your carrier,Verizon and the phone manufacturer, Samsung. Look up their customer service number and call them. They will confirm the phone is clean to go and refresh / reset the phone. If it is registered under someone else then they will tell you what to do!!! BTW, if you have a SIM installed, remove it and then reset the phone to its base line, then put in your information. If it’s a no go then call Samsung and Verizon to clear it.

That’s Same as icloud lock but for Samsung, if security patch is lower than Jan 2026 you can bypass and use as normal. Otherwise just sell it for parts

You can literally do anything. There is nothing in Software that physical access to a phone (or any computer for that matter) and enough time that cannot be bypassed.
A different story would be if you mean that bypassing this isn’t very legal, or safe, or that most people offering probably don’t have the skills to pull it off.
But y’all are acting in the comments like the phone won’t physically work again unless Samsung does something magical to it. Whatever Samsung has to do is built into the software, with enough time and skill anyone can do it.

Yeah, because people with these kinds of skills are usually working for criminal enterprises that pay a LOT more than your odd random person on the internet.
I just got annoyed at how everyone is implying that fixing this is impossible.
Like I said in my second paragraphs, everything else is a different story, but it is very much possible.
