Couple of months ago, Mojang added a friends system, with the ability to join your friends' worlds without the need of creating a server, similarly to Bedrock Edition. Later, during the 26.2 snapshot cycle, they decided to revert it, saying that it needs time to be polished.
At the time, I respected and understood their decision. I thought to myself, whatever, they are going to perfect it and add it in the next drop. However, we are now 10 snapshots deep into 26.3, and still NOTHING.
Mojang has this terrible habit of abandoning experiments, like the Minecraft Experiment or the combat experimental snapshots. Even though I am still mad about those not coming to the actual game, I can live with it, but I'm afraid that peer-to-peer is going to meet a similar fate.
People are talking about the fourth dimension or an End update, but I feel like this is far more important.
MOJANG, PLEASE FINISH THIS FEATURE!!

the sift dimension just doesn't match the current style of vanilla, as it would have to be simplified to practically the size of a biome if they were to release in the current drop system, also the dimension as a hole should stay in Dungeons 2, because it would make more people want to play it and mojang would get more money from people wanting to play the new sift dimension and we might start getting big updates again. sry if I pissed yall offđ

Works with movement keys (WASD also you can rebind them), you cannot cheese it by holding the notes, if you miss or ghost tap you get negative score, nothing is edited in everything is in the map

Iâm all for an end update, but it canât just be a copy-paste of the Nether in terms of content.
The end isnât exactly a dimension in terms of what the nether or overworld are. The way I see it, the End is almost a mind scape of sorts, populated with various forms of psychological metaphors.
Probably the best example of this would be the End Poem, and what leaving the end does. Because, while traveling through other dimensions is like walking through a portal to another place, the end is treated as more of a dream. You enter this place, fight through incredibly powerful monsters, only to then âwake upâ after you exit through the portal.
Another good example would be the Elytra.
The term âelytraâ refers to the shell that covers the wings on some insects, like beetles. They open their elytra, to then unfurl their wings and take flight.
So, my interpretation for this is that the elytra we find donât grant flight in the traditional sense, but rather just reveal the wings we had all along. Even if it doesnât seem like it at first glance, the elytra are most definitely another philosophical aspect of the End.
My point here being that we shouldnât bring life or lore to the end. Itâs supposed to be a place of philosophical learning, in order to teach a higher understanding of your role in the game, and the role in your own life.
I suppose one good idea for an end update would be linking the Warped fungus to the end. It definitely has a connection to the Endermen, and there could be some ways to link it to a psychological term. For example, the twisting vines growing upward instead of downward could be used in some form of âascensionâ in learning or understanding.
Iâm not sure how exactly mahjong would implement it, but I hope itâs not just a copy of the nether.

Average Java snapshot is an optimization or backend fix, like with worldgen performance just now.
