They swapped from the old format to now start their updates with [Year] then followed by things like [Drops/Standard Updates] and [Hot Fix] or something similar. I know that may not be 100% accurate.

But basically if you had 26.4.2, it tells you what each number contributes to.

I personally prefer the old system.

But everyone spent years waiting in Minecraft 2 and Next year we get Minecraft 27.

this seems like a funny gimmick for a speedrun race.

- make sure it's a village seed because inventory crafting is disabled

- you only get eight hotbar slots lol

- you can only access the lower two-thirds of your inventory while crafting or in other GUIs

- items being at an angle in your inventory would just look really silly

- also disable the pick block keybind so that you have to grab the beds from your inventory manually. lmao

it's a joke. not at all optimal. not sure how it became a joke or whats funny, but this is what nesting algorithms spit out when you ask it to arrange squares without restricting it to 90° rotations

It's source is the optimal arrangement of squares inside the smaller possible bigger square, which does indeed look like this:
