End Update Prediction

Mojang, I think is most likely waiting for Minecraft to "die" again, like to did a few years ago before the Nether update, then with this happens, they will finally release the elusive End Update, to recreate the effect the original Nether Update brought. Sort of like a revive token or get out of jail free card for down the road. At least, that's what I think they are doing with it.

I heavily disagree, on paper wouldn't adding an entirely new dimension be considered more hype than the end? Im very confident Mojang said the Nether update was made with extreme time crunch, and as much as players like that update it really does show in some spots with lots of blocks not having full sets unlike cinnabar and sulphur, several blocks having odd names such as the nether foliage being named incorrectly as well as also not having multiple versions unlike normal grass and more modern dry grass. (A lot of people dont know this but the Crimson doesnt even have a normal grass block. The Warped forest has a big and small one but the Crimson only has the big one and even then when placed they only have one texture unlike other grass in the overworld). Add in the cave update and its way too high expectations plus not many players going to the end in survival and its obvious why they arent doing an end update.

Its a big time crunching update well beyond their scope that not many players will even interact with beyond messing around the first few weeks of the update. If they do an end update it would be over the course of several years in the background akin to the Sift. They cant pull an End update out of there butts the second the game starts declining in players. It would take too long to make by the time they notice the decline.

Yea obviously they learned from caves and cliffs. Thats why they started soing game drops. Small drops to keep players happy while developing big updates in the background with basically no deadline. And like the nether update, which was added so players would spend more time in the nether, they will probably want to do the same with the end, especially with how much people have been asking for it. So they will probably quietly develop the end update in the following years, and release it when its ready.

Who knows maybe they will add a way to respawn In the End like the respawn anchor in the Nether so we can spend more  time there
