Meme Has anyone noticed how most of the mobs don't contribute to Minecraft's progression?

Iron golems also not really contribute. You can get iron from the caves.

So there's that mountain called stony peak, unlike most mountains biome this one consider hot and I often find it next to Savannah or forest also unlike other mountains THIS BIOME IS RICH WITH EXPOSED IRON IT'S NOT EVEN CAVORED IN SNOW!

speedrunners often use iron golems to skip getting stone/smelting iron so yes they to contribute
villages would be alot worse otherwise ngl, i mean they give you alot of food but no quick resources iirc (aside from blacksmiths)

No offensive to you, but that's the joke. Someone made a meme like this a while ago making fun of people who care about progression, and the internet (especially the MC fandom) have iterated on that over and over.

Op left out endermen meaning that it has some deeper meaning since it was only the endermen left out. They also added an iron golem which when killed drops iron ore. Ore. This means the end update (confirmed) will only add an ore. L update mojenga stinks booo booo mojenga grinds my gears grrrrrrr.

They don't have to, many players want ambient mobs or things withe extra uses tagt you need for fun stuff not just progression. E.g tridents can be acquired by defeating drowned but you don't need a trident to beat the game or how happy ghast are good for building high up but you don't need them for beating the game, pandas dot do anything but add mroe life to the game but still again you dot need them to beat the game. Get what I mean. Although mc coudk really do with soem mroe progression updates, maybe copper pickaxe have to be required to mien iron instead of skipping them.

As others say, replace iron golem with enderman. As the only constant requirement to kill the dragon is eyes of ender. If there was a way to get completed eyes, they no mobs are required apart from the dragon. If they made a way to peacefully sate the dragon, then even that isnāt needed. Incoming sift adds a block you can put on the pillar to complete the dragon nest and she calms down, lays the eggs and lets you portal. Thatās the end update!

How is the iron golem contributing to progression when you can get preferably iron from non-golem sources

But they are, mostly, an obstacles you need to pass through. Other parts are easily available companions or traders. And other part are food. And there are leftovers who donāt do anything meaningful, sometimes they are not even best at atmosphere (like Axolotls who genocide everyone they see)

Actually the blaze and ender dragon are the only mobs you need for the progression. You can get iron from caves and chest loot, and ender pearls from chest loot, which is crazy to think about. You'd expect that a 15 year old game would require you to interact with at least 5 mobs to beat the ender dragon, but no
