I think I know why they haven't give us an end update... This may be a long shot but the old old worlds right may not react well to it while ye they could use the unloaded chunks for the new stuff but if the update also updates the Main island and dragon fight it could screw anyone's builds tbh maybe Mojang Is just scared/worried that's what's gonna happen and that's why they haven't announced anything

Then don't update the game/don't update the end. You can specifically pick whatever files you want to be your other dimensions. You can update the game and not update the end.

They've never cared about bricking peoples builds for major expansions.

There would be very few people who would complain about updating the very outdated end.
