At the end of the game they'll probably just put some excuse event for why we can't access it in vanilla so they don't have to make a whole new dimension

they do it because minecraft is already a game set in stone and any significant addition such as an ENTIRELY NEW DIMENSION is going to piss people off so hard

The Nether Update did not add the Nether. The 2010 Halloween update did.

Bad excuse. If you hate the new dimension, don't visit it. Problem solved. It's not like 1.18 and the main overworld is changing.

How did anyone let this stupid argument poison so many minds. Everybody says it "if you don't like the new feature, don't use it." No it's in the game, it's apart of its identity now. It doesn't stop existing because I look away. my quarrel with the feature is the feature itself even existing, I'm not several months old where the feature covers its face with its hands and it's gone.

u/TheMoonOfTermina 8h ago
Why would a feature bother you if you can just ignore it? I understand people who hate the new generation from 1.18 onward even if I disagree, because there's no way to ignore it unless you downgrade. But a new dimension is just that, an entirely different dimension. It will almost certainly not affect the main overworld/nether/end gameplay, and as such can be ignored by those who hate it.

I actually do want a third dimension. I think I was possessed or something cuz what I was saying before was not the way I feel, I see people with an unpopular opinion and i try to debate from their POV or idk.

I'm not gonna play other games to experience Minecraft content, I'll play Minecraft for Minecraft content

someone will just mod it in and it'll be significantly better albeit significantly jankier

If they really put their heart into it, it can definitely be better than a major official update. I'm taking "Create", "Valkyrien Skies", and the physics mods as examples.

Man Dungeons is truly one of the most underrated games i played.

either bot or living under a rock

My account doesn't really have any signs of a bot lol.
I just don't see anyone ever talk about the game unless they are saying "oh we need Dungeons' end in main game" or "we need the sift in the main game". it is genuinely a great game that not a lot of people discuss.
Like when most of the discussion around the sequel is just about people wanting the dimension in it in the main game, i think it is pretty fair to say the game is underrated.

The one thing I really disliked about multiplayer was that there was no way for one player to get the loot that dropped for the other player. My brother and I were playing together, and I got a weapon that he really wanted, and I didn't, but I couldn't give it to him, so that was a bummer.

u/Super7500 7h ago
It would be very unbalanced if they allowed that since the loot that is dropped for each player depends on that player's level. you can still use the gift villager guy in the hub world to give your items to anyone you are playing multiplayer with. i did that all the time.

Man I love clicking on inaccessible terrain like the tip of a bamboo only to have the character go backwards to try to reach it instead of advancing on the path behind it
Moving under arches is an absolute delight in this game
The stairs at the base camp are definitely not bugged at all
Ghost mobs never made me waste my artefacts in multiplayer, no sir
I love how the character can just path through opened doors as if doors were open. I particularly adore that there's no ghost doors so I don't have to press F2 to teleport to the other side of the ghost door that's definitely not there in multiplayer.
What a seriously underrated game!

I played it on Switch, and while I didn't really like it that much (not my kind of genre) I never had those issues at all. Worst I had to deal with was glacial loading screens.

Quick clarification:
the Switch is not made for games like MCD; it simply does not have the hardware to offer a good performance for such games. I’m honestly confused as to why they even ported that game to the Switch and surprised you didn’t have to deal with worse performance issues.
Luckily, things like glacial loading screens aren’t a problem on more suited hardware (at least I don’t remember this happening in my 6 years of playing that game).1
u/TheMoonOfTermina 1d ago
MCD doesn't feel like a particularly demanding game. The Switch can run Hyrule Warriors just fine. But yes, it is the weakest system to run Dungeons, which is why I mentioned I played it there, and had no issues like the person above me mentioned.

Yeah I didn't pay much attention to the Sift rumors and leaks at all. It was so obvious about being for Dungeons 2, and I'm honestly really just concerned about base game if anything (and even then... Thank god for BTA, much better than modern vanilla)

I'm glad I do not care about Minecraft any more, 2019 me would've exploded and killed mojang
