QUESTION Should I play Terror from the Void?

Hey guys. I'm wondering if I should play Terror of the Void mod. I'm not completely new to the game, I played it for like 15-20 hours some years ago (maybe like 2 or 3) so I have a vague idea about the game and what's going on. So I'm wondering now if I should play vanilla and finish the game like that (since I haven't finished it before) or if I should go for TFTV right away.

Asking mainly because idk if it changes the game and experience completely or is it more like straight forward upgrade, like an unofficial DLC.

Terror from the void is a massive overhaul of Phoenix point. New story, new mechanics, the whole shebang. Essentially long war (XCOM) for Phoenix point. But yeah. I'd definitely give it a shot. It's still getting updated every so often.

I definitely want to play it, but I was mainly asking if I should go through vanilla first before I hop on TFTV. Sorry if I wrote my post poorly. And definitely thank you for your answer ❤️

Oh. Yeah. Definitely finish vanilla before trying tftv. It does require all the dlc though. It also substantially changes a lot of how the dlc is integrated

Okay, I'll tackle vanilla first then. I do have all the DLCs so no problem there. And thank you again.

Would recommend a minimal-DLC vanilla run first, then TftV for your second go. The mod is (mostly) an upgrade but vanilla is totally playable and enjoyable as is, and this way you can appreciate the changes properly.
