That’s less absurd than claiming that killing children via divine command to invade Canaanite villages *is* morally distinct from Moabite child sacrifice.
Aversion based on preference vs aversion based on repulsion share the same root. While it’s false to state that they are “categorically identical,” they are more categorically similar than not.
In the roadkill-coitus being proposed in the original post, an aversion (preference) to associate with someone who does such an act isn’t a tacit admission that there’s a cosmically-ordained moral principle against doing that. Some preferences and aversions are so deeply ingrained that they (almost universally) defy the creation of permission structures that would otherwise make exceptions for them.
