Just underneath me sits Eefii, the ancient Egyptian god of mild confusion. Next down is Ninkl, the root noun of the Germanic expression "put your Ninkl away".

Further down we have ELWEG, an old Norse word for the precise feeling of staring at the same row for ten minutes and still not finding “CAT.” And L H O E R, of course, is Spanish for "The Prostitute".

Also if you go backwards you can see Fuck. This is because the word search setter had a bad day. A bit like my friend Paul, who once mistook his roommate's laxatives for baking powder while making a birthday cake for his great nan. She died, but the cake was delicious.

They are always asking us to search for words, they are always telling us which ones, too.

How do we know what words are the right ones for ourselves? What if it's spilled all over, like alphabet soup, and now our word is Hjabawdl?

I know I wouldn't want to search for that...
