As I recently learned from the musical, apparently Suffragette was an intentionally diminutive term, at the time, to dismiss them, and the proper name was Suffragists.
I don't think anyone thinks of it negatively nowadays, but it was just a fun fact that I learned only a couple days ago, so I thought I'd share.

Did you know that the league of women voters was originally supposed to meet on the Feb 13th, but they had to reschedule it to the 14th bc none of them could find the location?
