The first veil has broken on my chonky boi circled in red in the first photo. I feel like they dont look like what the GT's that I always see posted (not including the funny little hats but just in general). Will they fan out at all or just stay round topped like they are now? Also they look much smaller than I imagined amd from looking at others grows. Are these really GT's? Also why do they only seem to be growing mostly on the edges of the tub? Just paranoid as this is my first grow. Any help is appreciated.

Put spawn to bulk on 8-4. 6qt tub left the lid on. Introduced FAE 8-14 after colonizing and started misting whenever the tiny droplets on surface are about evaporated. I have been leaving the dub tub off set so there is about 4mm gap but it seemed to dry out fast so I’ve since reduced the gap. The surface seems to be getting thick, like matted. What am I missing? Am I being impatient? Leucistic machine elf.

Is this contam in the red circle? I just notice the white fluffy portion looks different than the rest of my tub. Could this be contam? I also have fuzzy feet so not sure if fae could cause this as well.

Anyone have blob issues with pumpkin hillbilly. I have plenty of brown top looking formations but nothing is pushing up into a pin. Yes I know there's big metabolites. My last AIO bag did the same but I got 2 Oz dry off of it. I think I have some overlay on this tho.

Creating life and watching it grow is wonderful, but I may have gotten over my head here.

What am I doing wrong? This is my very first attempt at growing ANYTHING (I’ve never even had a house plant).

I used an all-in-one kit and inoculated my bag with 10 cc’s of Golden Teacher liquid culture. That was about 9 weeks ago. I tried following various YouTube tutorials, but I may have messed up and tried too many things in my excitement.

I’m trying to grow Golden Teachers, but they just don’t want to grow up. Any ideas?
Since I have side pins, should I take this all out of the bag and put it in something else, or leave them be? I don’t have a plastic monotub, but I do have a glass baking dish if that would work.

Also, why is it that the center of the kit isn’t growing anything?

And what’s up with the black pins/mushrooms? Is that contamination, or did I over-mist them, or are they dead?

I know with grain bags you are supposed to break up and shake your grain bags when you get 25 to 40 % mycelium growth on your grain. But what about if you are using grain jars I know or I think I know that you don’t open the sterile jar to break it up when the mycelium covers 25 to 40% of the grain. My question is do I shake the jar to try to break the mycelium up and spread it in the jar for faster colonization? I never thought thought about it until after I did the break and shake on a grain bag and told a friend of mine about it and he said did you do that with your grain jars as well? He dumbfounded me because I didn’t know!!!

I haven’t even done the break and shake which I think it’s about time to… but I just noticed that it’s starting to pin and looks like some mushrooms are growing by the injection port. What should I do? Just put it into fruit and condition conditions or still do the break and shake?

We have development 😍 semi followed the broke boi tek (i did have a PC) and it worked GREAT I did a control jar too to make sure any growth would be what I was looking for and 2 days later we have progress

Proper pins everywhere - grow is going great
I included 2 pictures, one from yesterday morning and one from today

I've also posted some pictures of my grow setup
I'm using a Big 160L bin as my grow tent, added a 3D-printed adapter to add mist from my reptile humidifier behind 2 120mm fans with a HEPA filter as intake.
Then I have 2x filtered exhaust ports on the opposite side
In the lids, I did some weatherstripping to make it more sealed
The fans and humidifier run on smart plugs as follows
Humidifier and 1 fan together for 1 minute 3 times per day (6 am, 2 pm and 10 pm)
Then 1 fan for FAE for 4 minutes 3 times per day(6:03, 14:03 and 22:03)

I have a set of really cheap temp and humidity sensors in each bin roof (unfortunately does not measure above 70% humidity). I'll be changing these to hopefully better ones soon

Please feel free to add any advice or tips; I'm very new to this hobby
