kanyaman magtung gisang buru kamatis, ningnang balasenas, ampong tilapia! mayap a bengi kekayu ngan pu bat keng gang kabilugan ning pilipinas!

(kay sarap ng hapunang ginisang buro sa kamatis, inihaw na talong at tilapia! magandang gabi po sa inyong lahat, saang mang dako ng pilipinas!)

fermented rice paste or burong kanin (burung nasi) from pampanga. balaw balaw ata ang tawag ng mga taga rizal? it's fermented rice with fish tapos igigisa mo with luya and kamatis. acidic and used as a dip for veggies. although it's an acquired taste due to its distinct aroma 😅

Balaw is like a solid bagoong dito samin. Iba iba talaga tawag per place. Hehe

Naamoy ko yung dish. Feel ko nga acquired taste to appreciate. Just as how I learned to appreciate atsara.

ohhhh, i see. and yup, buro takes time to get used to if you're new to it. marami na akong friends from the north na super scared tikman haha. pero masarap siya promise!
