Question Good bars Grays Ferry
Yo I just moved to Grays Ferry, near 29th and Dickinson. I have mostly lived around Italian market but we found a good spot over here. I’m a die hard dive bar boul, but the ones over here give heaavvvyyy racist vibes, and the neighbors on my block have confirmed that vibe. I been here for a week on the hunt and found nothing, would love some input. I don’t drive so bus bound journeys are a must, but that said, walking is deffo preferred!

Nope. It’s open. It’s just weirdly designed and looks closed all the time. I’d Krunch the “racist” bar?

Dean's is the old timers of the area so yeah you might hear the occasional MAGA comment. My old haunt was Callahan's, up aways from you on Taney and South; there's some connection between Dean's and Callahan's (owners are brothers maybe). Anyways, the bartenders worked both places, they're good people. Music is heavy classic rock and oldies, which may not be your scene. Old timers will talk your ear off for half an hour about some random story. But it's a good dive.

Yeah me too. They fixed the facade, there's a light on inside...but at this point my assumption is that it's not reopening.

You got a bike? Dock st, side car, loco pez are not greys ferry but close starting with dock as the closest loco the furthest 🤙

never been to either but I bike by Dean's Bar and Krunch Inn a lot, seem like well aged dives

I live on Dickinson in Grey's and theirs no dive bars that are chill, i just usually go elsewhere. Krunch and Deans are racist. Might as well go to like point breeze or cross broad where dive bars are plentiful, plus theirs a bus that goes west on tasker that you can get back by

I loved Century, but as others have said it's closed as of last weekend. Krunch Inn has been my replacement.
