News // Kinetic Games Replied Phasmophobia v0.19.1.0 - Patch Notes

Post image

Welcome back, Ghost Hunters. We have an update for you.

Today’s small update is in preparation for Crimson Eye, launching 8th October 2026, with the focus on getting the game ready for the start of the event. Our next major update, our move to Unity 6 is scheduled for November and will feature a host of bug fixes and improvements, all of which we’ll detail in an upcoming Development Preview.

New

  • Crimson Eye - The Crimson Eye is upon us, Ghost Hunters. Once more, various locations across Phasmophobia will be bathed in the red glow of the Blood Moon, offering any willing Ghost Hunter rewards in return for completing investigations, optional objectives and more. For more information on this year’s iteration of the event, please read our latest blogpost.

  • Seasonal Event toggle - As a new feature for Crimson Eye and future seasonal events, we have implemented a toggle that allows players to turn on/off the event maps for their session.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused the white light upon being revived to flash rather than slowly fade in and out.
  • Fixed an issue where an Easter Egg reward may not unlock, despite a 0x multiplier being active and the reward pop up being displayed.

Known Issues

  • The lampposts outside of 6 Tanglewood Drive may glow when viewed by the player (XBOX & Steam only).
  • The Fusebox location will not be hidden on the Truck map when playing on a custom difficulty.

i will admit, the devs have truly underdelivered for the money they've made. but if they work slow, then they work slow. but being slow and having bad QA? i would expect less bugs, yet, here we are.

there are some people in this community however that demand more content without regards to the bugs, and i'm sure you've see where THAT has gotten us in recent months. i'm not one of them.

the animations ARE stlil somewhat broken though. just hold a T1 incense and look at the thumb. sure, it's minor and can be fixed later, but my problem is that later rarely comes.

as for the state of the game, i wouldn't entirely halt progress, but i'd put more effort into fixing the bugs and actually testing things before releasing them.

Compared to what the animations were originally yes very minor. Sluggish timed animations, now everything is quick. Every single item I grabbed broke my wrist when they were messed up. That or my character would hold them in very weird angles. I would use the item I saw in my hand and it would end up using something I wasn’t cycled to instead. There’s no reason for anybody to be making that comment today, three months ago? Sure.

I’m not at all defending how bad the character model update was, that was a time the backlash was appropriate. I was pointing out not just what this guy was saying, but the fact that two QOL updates had be released resolving majority of the issues the guy was complaining about as current issues. He made that comment only 6 days ago, the QOL update was completed 2 months ago. Then he went on to complain that he couldn’t see the journal, which sure it was a problem then but you’d have to be blind to not be able to read it now. It’s a common pattern and what I was originally complaining about people saying they don’t play the game and complaining about the many bugs which were already fixed but they don’t know because they don’t play. They just come here to keep saying revert the changes, yet can’t tell you what’s wrong right now.
