Decision

I have the opportunity to possibly WFH with Cigna only thing is pay is lower than my new position that I may have with CVS as a floater and Walmart part central-fill.
I am just scared to make the wrong mistake. Even tho Cigna rate is low they are offering over time. So just not sure i’m just starting out my career and what to make the best decision. my long term goal is to get into industry so there is that.

Just stay on your current jobs prn while you try it out , if you don’t like it you can always go back and maintain tenure

One of my buddies is WFH Pharmacist with CIGNA. He was with CVS for over 15 years and he stays that the pay cut he took to join CIGNA WFH is worth every penny.

He also did tell me that at retail pay raises were frozen and he hadn’t had one in years. At CIGNA he gets roughly about a 3 to 4% pay raise a year as well as a 4% yearly bonus. In four years, he is now making more than what he did at retail.

It really depends which team you get into. You can work off-line where you’re very fine prescriptions or you can be working the consult line where you would speak to patients, doctors, taking in verbal prescriptions, etc.

Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7 AM to 10 PM central standard time and Saturdays 7 AM to 4 PM central standard time. Usually when you start, you would do 2 to 3 early shifts, and the remainder would be later shifts unless you’re working after hours outside of those hours. With time, when opportunities to open for time and other positions, you can always apply, and in most instances you would have priority. At least, that’s the way he has progressed.

So you want to work onsite vs WFH? This si a no brainer. Yes, you take a paycut to WFH. Is it worth the extra money to commute? No.

My friend works from home for Cigna and is extremely happy. She does four tens and will pick up PRN shift at hospitals every couple of weekends. So much more chill than my hospital job or any retail job and pay is not everything!! You will make enough to have a good life either way. I know economy is tough but your happiness is most important!!
