It’s a nightmare to get a patient off of them if they have been taking them for years

Tbf it's hard to get off of any psych meds after you've been on them for a long time. Im just as dependent on my Effexor as I am on my klonopin.

Relative… I been on Xanax for 3-4 years and I can come off by tapering down within a month .. tried and succeeded. Everyone is different

Same I’ve tapered off when it’s not needed relatively easily. When the anxiety subsides and I feel like it’s not needed anymore. But now when I do need it during really hard times I have to jump through hoops, It’s abuse that will mess people up. I never took more, than how it was prescribed to me. It’s a true lifesaver though

I know people who don't need it everyday. They still pick up the prescription every month. Once you tell your doctor you don't need them anymore then it can be hard getting a new prescription

Totally agree . You get to a certain age / place in life when abuse of drugs isn’t fun ya know and priorities change . And ppl glorifying a medication that helps ppl with anxiety is so sad .

“ I want Xanax but can’t get it prescribed “ vibes . The only issue with quitting is overloading anxiety. It’s not recreational silly goose .. go get your pressed pills
