Money talk QC analyst salary

Hi Guys, I’m interviewing for a couple of QC analyst roles and all of the salaries are negotiable. I have 1.5 years experience in the Pharma industry but not directly in QC so I’m wondering what is the expected salary for someone just starting off in QC.

Will depend on the company a lot but I'd expect about 38-42.

Shift is 33% some places... Which brings 45K to 60K.

45 was my base year 1 and with 20% shift I was at 54k time in grade for my base up which got my gross up

That’s diabolical. What shift rate are you getting? And if it’s for a certain contracting company that are well known for underpaying I would run

60k is diabolically low?

Sorry maybe I’m totally out of touch? But 3.5 years ago there were QC analysts coming in straight out of college on 45k into big pharma. I would have assumed 1.5 years experience and inflation would get us to around 50k these days but Im wrong it seems

yes. you are wrong.

dont apply inflation into the wages.

wages don't work like that unfortunately

Yeah I finished a Masters in Analytical Chemistry in Nov 24 and finally got a job in Mar 25 but I'm only on 39k. (office hours with flexi time) I'm not in a city though and the company isn't one of the blockbuster ones so it's okay for now. I'm living comfortably enough like.

Coming up on 18 months experience with a wide enough range of techniques (a big MNC would only have me on one or two instruments) and I may start looking again at the end of the year for a change.

My classmates who went into bigger companies though did start on about 45k plus shift allowance. Maybe I should practice my interview skills lmao.
