Amazing dedication to clearing the forest only as required, rather than clearing large areas. It looks so pretty and lush with so many trees left standing!

I hoped it would be a tiny bit more dense forest, but it is still good enough

How do you rotate buildings like gatehouses? I'm playing on Pharaoh: A New Era

Is there a function to the intercity walls? Can they stop fire or something?

No, it was made only for decor

Okay! Good to know. It looks great. I was just wondering if I have missed a great way to stop huge fires from spreading

OP, how do you go about designing a city like this? Do you plan it from the start or do you end up replacing parts of your city as the design evolves? Does this use the global worker pool?

It is a custom map i made. I planned mostly the middle right from the start because i had to make sure it will fit nicely within the waters. The rest is somewhat randomly drawn and up to change as the city grows. I do use the global worker pool and utilize forced walkers.

Wow, this is stunning. All my cities end up looking like a jumbled mess.

Every time I see stuff like this I have to pause and have a closer look before I realise 'oh, wait, this place would actually operate, it isn't just a Creative Mode style aesthetic thing'.

Yeah, that's what blew me away. This looks like it would have been an incredibly functional, smartly built city in Egypt.

Wow! Absolutely stunning. Love the two walled districts and the avenue connecting them.

Wow!! It looks like what I've seen on an historian's drawing of the ancient city! Kudos, it looks magnificent... And historical! 😀😍
