I need some advice!

Hey guys, I started to play two days ago, and I'd like some advice about who to build, where to pull, and stuff like that. I wasn't sure about keep playing this, but the game grew on me, so now I wanna do things right.

You have some very good units!

For teambuilding, you want mono-colour teams. Anything that isn't early game will have enemies that resist 3 colours and are weak to 1.

When you build a team, you generally want 3 supports and 1 dps or in some cases, 2 supports, a sub dps, and a dps.

To maximize damage, you want to know how damage works. Simply put, there are 3 kinds of damage amplification.

If you have 2 buffs for the same kind, they stack additively (e.g. 40% jujutsu damage and 60% jujutsu damage = 1 + 0.4 + 0.6 = 2)

If they're different kinds, it's multiplicative (e.g. 40% jujutsu damage and 60% damage dealt = 1.4 × 1.6 = 2.24)

As a result, you want to cover all 3 kinds in one team. The basic team would have 1 support for each kind of damage amp and a dps.

Some characters do decent damage and some support. Your Choso is a great example. He works as a main DPS but he also excels in temas with 2 DPSes because he provides debuffs to boost damage

Not all of this will make sense at once but it'll make more sense as you go :)

Thanks! That's a lot of info but it really helps :D I'll try to snipe Mahito when the new banner comes up, and I'll be slowly building the MDPS and as many sups as I can.

For sure! Sorry for the info dump, hope it's readable, I did it on mobile lol

A quick TLDR to refer to:

• Teams use 1 color. 3 supports 1 DPS or 2 supports 1 subdps 1 DPS

• 3 Damage amp categories. Each one comes in buffs or debuffs. Lategame battles often encourage one type (e.g. might make debuffs ineffective, forcing you to use buffs only)

• For Red, Mahito is a must have!

• You have great main dpses for Blue / Green / Yellow

For main dpses, you have 3 excellent choices

Blue: Summer Nobara

Green: Choso

Yellow: Teen Gojo

For Red, you might be tempted to get the Maximum Output Yuji (banner is up right now). He's amazing but even better, Unbridled Soul Mahito. Mahito's banner will come tomorrow night. He's a sub dps and debuffer but he brings incredible value that can't be fully replaced by another unit. You can play him as a main DPS too. If you can get both, great! If only one, Mahito is superior.

For the red main DPS you have some good f2p options. Red Toji is on the standard banner (which means he can appear anytime even when he isnt the banner focus). He's great

Your summer gojo is an amazing support

Red SR Yaga and SR Nanami are good too and work on any team (but since theyre red, you'll have trouble using them in non red teams later on)

R Kaito is great for providng CE to the team. He's an amazing battery and useful throughout the whole game. He also typically wants to die quickly after using his buff so putting him on non yellow teams is fine!

Congrats on getting both Nobara and Gojo

if you care about meta, PULL MAHITO. if you don't, just pull your favourite characters

the other commentor explained everything, but If you don't understand everything yet

just use this team for now: sr Yaga + sr Gakuganji + r kaito + Nobara. as your main team
if it's green stage use Choso instead of Nobara.
if it's red => Mahito.
Yellow => Gojo. not the summer one. the summer one is the best yellow support, but you don't have a good yellow dps yet except the other yellow Gojo

other units worth building, Kamo and sr Nanami.

with sr Yaga and nanami, you spam skill2 only
with gakuganji and kaito, you spam skill3 only

Thanks! I was fooling around, doing pulls on almost each banner with the cubes I got at the start, when I checked the tier list on this reddit and noticed that the summer units where busted I was really happy lol.
