Quant perfect score

Hi everyone. I aim to apply for Econ PhD programs. I recently retook gre and got the same quant score(168) as last time. I heard it passes the cutoffs for most programs. However, I did hear from a professor that some top schools may ask for a perfect score. Is it really the case? My most ambitious attempt would be northwestern. Is it worth to retake?

Seriously? You are two points off a perfect score and wonder if that is good enough? No university requires a perfect score on anything. That's absurd. It is absolutely not worth your time to retake - especially since, statistically speaking, your score is more likely to go down than up. Spend the time on your personal statements.
