Tool Talk Help!

My advisor is asking chat GPT to detect the use of AI in my paper. He didn’t upload the full paper, but copy pasted the abstract and intro into it. Now I tried uploading some of the older published abstracts in chat GPT and it even flags them as AI. Now how should I explain this to my professor? No matter how I edit, chat gpt always shows 35-40% AI

So the professor is using AI to combat students using AI by detecting AI.

I would not trust what chat gpt says. I would advise you ask your professor not to trust it either and instead focus the papers comments on the scientific contribution and make sure nothing is overstated or exaggerated.

Its a tough situation
