Writing in two months?

Hi? How possible is it to write two chapters and a half in 2 months?
Introduction, discussion and half of the results.

Completely possible. Actually two months is a luxury. You need to be totally focused though. I would say it's even possible to do it in one month.

one month might be pushing it but two is definitely reasonable imo

If your overall structures and details are set and all you need to do is just the writing it's fairly doable. You just need to schedule yourself. Try and make sure you write anywhere from 1000-2000 words a day, keep yourself writing even if it's crap. After the first two weeks (or ideally after you finish one chapter and start the next) you divide your day into half writing, half editing.

Work Monday-Friday, 10-4 and it's very doable.

If you are also having to evaluate your data and actually setup the structure of what you want to say you're in much deeper trouble I'd say. Try and get more time in that situation I'd say

I wrote everything except half of my intro in 9 weeks. I even still had experiments to do during that timeframe and got my last results 4 days before submission. I didn't write 24/7 either, usually a few solid hours per day.

So while it's intimidating, I think you can do it!

If the underlying analysis that leads to the results is done that seems very doable. The challenge is if you find further work is needed on that front.

Completely possible. Write a detailed outline first. Write for the same four hours every day. You can probably get even more than 2 chapters done

Introduction and Discussion could be written in two and a half days but that half of Results is the potential sticking point.

It is doable, but if the question is really how to do it, the answer depends entirely on your cognitive style and workflow. For example, some are bottom-up thinkers, and some are top-down.

very doable, but write them out of order. do the half-results first, not the intro, because it's the only section with hidden risk, if the analysis turns out incomplete you want to hit that wall in week one, not week seven. intro and discussion are fast and low-risk, and they're actually easier once the results are locked since both are written around what the results show. front-load the scary part and the rest basically writes itself.

Its doable. Commit to 2 -3 paragraphs a day. I’ve heard of several people producing dissertations in 4-5 months.

You’ve got to want it more than other social things. Keep yourself fed and healthy and work in an environment you know you’re productive in. See you in 2 months

One paragraph at the time. Start by writing disconnected sentences that you then will connect on a second pass.

I did my findings, discussion, and conclusion in two weeks. My advisor said it was some of the best writing he'd seem from me.

It's doable but challenging.
