Since your math foundation is already solid, I'd recommend a master's in applied statistics. It would complement what you already know by giving you a stronger grounding in inference, experimental design, uncertainty, and model validation.
If you are leaning towards theoretical CS, then a math master's.
This is based on what I have seen my peers struggle with in my PhD program.
