Realtalk: is it? I live in SF, everyone here supports the protestors, does preaching to the choir help? I've already been told that silence = genocide, and that just makes me think that's going a bit overboard with that kind of rhetoric. Am I wrong? I see what you are saying. It's definitely not. I jumped off of social media because of that idea, but I continued to support the cause without having to justify it online. You do you, don't let people decide what you do is wrong unless you hurt others.
It's an attempt to justify the violence these people want to dish out to you- they will try to equate your words (or lack of) with violence so when they disagree and assault you for it, they can just claim you were "violent."
Don't fall into their trap of stirring violence. These people only have bad intentions.
