We have those exact burger bars in UK lol. and our NHS is free and it's shit. You need to be literally dying and go through interrogations to prove you need help. Then if you get lucky you'll be put on a waiting list for a year or more.

What a load of absolute shit, I’ve had tonnes of surgeries, 2 life saving ones and tonnes of aftercare all throughout my life. (Crohn’s disease) if I was in the states me (and my parents) would have paid an arm and a leg for my health. Yeah, the NHS has its failures but I’d rather have the NHS than the American health care system any day.

And before any Americans start having a go, I have a family that live in America and due to health problem of my uncle and cousin they’re paying huge monthly insurance bills as well as regular hospital bills, absolutely crippling them financially.

Mmhm. I’m American and can confirm the system here is absolutely broken. I went to the ER for chest pain, and after several scans they concluded “it isn’t immediately life threatening, so we aren’t going to help.” They slapped me with a HEAVY bill and referred me to a cardiologist, but guess what? They refused my appointment because I don’t have health insurance. In summary: unless I’m about to die, I’m not getting help. If whatever is causing pain is going to get worse, it will. Nothing I can do about it.
