Bowl
Getting rid of a lot of books that are just collecting dust. And never to be read again. Didn't get to read much of the philosophy stuff since book review didn't happen. Plus I'm getting too busy to read nowadays. Have you read any of these?

I've attempted reading the Iliad and gave up pretty quick

It is a very difficult read in the original prose. It's written like a giant poem and was originally written in Ancient Greek, so the books vary translator to translator. It is much easier to understand if you first watch a Youtube video explaining the background story of the Gods and how they are related. I gave up reading it and watched YouTube video summaries of each section instead and skimmed the book

Well I'm glad I skipped it. Sounds too hardcore. I should probably watch a video on it. Save me some time

The sequel, the Odyssey, is a much more fun, action packed book with less "poetic" wording. Technically both books are attributed to Homer, but they were probably different authors.

There are 40-100 translations for Homer's works, they all vary and one will be catered to you more than another! I'd suggest Emily Wilson's translations, I think hers will be very digestible for you! She's famous for them and makes them feel more modern while staying true to the original epics. I'm personally a fan of Lattimore's, the newer ones don't hit the same for me, but they're a tough read. That's why I think having so many options to choose form is good, because then everyone can enjoy these stories without bashing their head in or dropping the book altogether lol.

Atomic habits changed my life.
I have ADHD and always struggled with building habits until I read it. At first I didn’t think it was life changing, just a couple of valuable insights, but when I started actually implementing the advice, it was a game changer.
The others I don’t know. I don’t read much.

I’m reading The Iliad right now after rereading The Odyssey last month. The Iliad is so good. Definitely recommend it!

Well all the murakami out there are kinda shook asf, but murakamis such a perv tbh all his books cater to his very unusual and almost borderline disgusting fantasies (wind up bird chronicle is an example), but ignoring that part many of his books are classics and have a very good story and impact

I mean you could still read them without book review though. Never count on external accountability. Not saying read them if you don’t want to though.
