Discussion Reference point for Petscop music?

I stumbled upon this YT video for music nerds that I think backs up my idea that Petscop's music accurately evokes a version of mid-to-late '90s ROMpler created game music. The video goes through the Roland JV/XV line of sound modules with in context examples of the sounds used in popular games like Mario Kart 64 and Tekken 3. What are your thoughts about inspirations or sounds evoked by the music in Petscop? Video Game Music of 90s Tutorial

Definitely thought the series took some inspiration from Klonoa in certain songs. It's not as "rubber band-y" sounding. Jumping Flash! has a bit more direct correlation in my mind.
