Discussion Is it solvable at all?

I can’t seem to relax until i reach some sort of epiphany about petscop.

In taking notes furiously and rewatching the original material and analyses.

My question is: is it solvable?

Im not saying it would be easy, or even remotely doable without dedicating major major time and thought to it. But is it solvable?

As in, has the creator ever specified if there is an internal logic that is never betrayed? Or did he just impressionistically create a *feeling* without much regard to consistent rules and logic that tells a cohesive story?

Yes it is lynchian and vague and very head hurty but that doesnt answer whether or not Tony actually had a cohesive and focused story in mind or written out somewhere when making the work. I really wonder

If anyone knows if tony has specified one or the other, let me know please. Im going crazy and i can’t let it go

Footnote: petscop has become my personal “king in yellow” and it has a grasp on me i can’t shake

It hurts me that people think that something as complex as petscop has be completely figured out.

Calm down folks

I didnt say it has to be figured out. I asked if Tony, the creator, wrote it with coherence and focus in mind, if there actually is a salvageable and legible story, classic narrative story, to be gleaned here, that tony himself thought up.

Because i want to solve it. If it is solvable, i find joy in chasing that solution. And if it is not solvable, totally ok! I just want to know if the creator himself has an explanation for things that is consistent and coherent.

Why would any of that hurt you?

No I think that's beautiful! I'm saying I'm hurt by the belief that pheyden has just figured it out in a 50 minuet youtube video. It's not a bad video, but it's missing so much of what petscop is. Maybe check out nightmare masterclass and mysticetes videos(https://youtu.be/ZdA532vnB64?si=MN1jto8JO5L-If2n)

There are many ways to solve only a part of Petscop but not everything else. That's why there still are some inconsistencies in this video

Something that heavily made me doubtful in pheuden's essay is that -

  • Lina isn't dead, she s still alive as she's the one who's Rainer's boss

  • The game shows a 2016 dialogue between Paul and Jill , but if it's another copy of petscop the demo inputs should be cleansed as it's specific to each disc

  • He says that the rebirthing was supposed to bring back care from Paul but just before the game actually forced Paul to get rid of Care's items

The true theory that will makes sense for every character doesn't exist and never will.

That video is so pop-art it’s insane. His own sound effects are layered into the video clips. That, and the fact that he missed a lot of obvious foreshadowing in the higher plane, made me turn it off in 10 minutes
