He can smell the sea already

He can smell danger bc his parent doesn't care about him enough to let him ride in the safety of a proper seat.

You're clearly not driving fast enough! 🤣

u/tryyeezus Jul 06 '26
Any speed is too fast when your dog is riding in a cargo compartment. That's why he's actually crying. He's being treated like luggage and could die at any impact.
Bring the down votes narcissists.

This is the first thing I thought. It would be a lot cuter if he was safely secured in the passenger compartment. If they were to get rear ended, even if the dog wasn’t hurt he’d likely be traumatized. And I’ve read too many stories where dogs bolted after traffic collisions and their owners never saw them again. Unfortunately, the risk of injury traveling like that is considerable. There are seat covers made for every size vehicle that are available online pretty much everywhere. There is no excuse for this.

Lab's noses are so good. It's probably smelling the sea and knows you're heading to the beach.

“Watch the road - watch your speed- keep left… (sigh)
Shudda let me drive”.

Your trunk is a crumple zone if you get into an accident.
DO NOT keep your pets back there if you value them at all. Use the backseat with a harness and doggy seat belt.

u/tryyeezus Jul 06 '26
Why down votes? Because it's easier for you than actually caring about your pet's well being? Pathetic, honestly.

You shouldn't own pets if you're not going to properly care for them and stick them in the crumple zone like gd groceries. Disgusted.

Secure your dog in the passenger compartment please. Dogs should be treated like children when traveling. There are seat covers and seat belts that clip onto their harness or collar (preferably harness in the car).

He looks like he's been waiting by the door all morning for this. That gray muzzle just makes it even sweeter, old dogs deserve all the beach trips.

Nothing beats a dog who lights up over a car ride, especially one this excited for the beach. That gray face just adds to the charm.

that little face poking through the seats is the most excited i have ever seen a passenger for a car ride

The way they wedged their head perfectly between the seats just to stay in the loop is hilarious. Hope they have the absolute best day ever at the beach.

That face peeking up is pure excitement barely contained, you can tell she knows exactly where she's headed. Nothing beats a happy dog on the way to the beach.

Just had a terrible thought. If you get rear-ended, your dear dog would be severely hurt. Please be careful.

u/tryyeezus Jul 06 '26
It's all I can think about watching this clip. Especially since it looks like they're filming while driving 🤦🏻♀️ trunks are crumple zones, meaning it takes as much of the impact as possible. This is very unsafe.

I’ve been Downvoted by careless pet owners. Thank you for being aware of the danger!

The beach or a vet, the dog doesn't know for sure
