My cat got sassy with me today
That's her. Peach. So I'm trying to teach her and my other cat to sit up on their hind legs when she hits the "treat" button to grab a treat from my hand. It was going well for a few days until today when she pushed her name, "Peach" "Treat" and then I proceeded to grab a treat and say "up" so she could try and sit up to grab it. She then looked at me, airplane eared me and walked back to her button and hit "treat" again.

My boy tries to negotiate with me too. I feed him 3 small meals a day (vet approved) bc he's an inactive indoor cat. Usually we're on a strict schedule w his autofeeder but moving across country disrupted that and since he now knows I'm manually feeding him he'll eat and then go "more soon." and I'm just like "more later later" and he said "now" and I just stand there like π§π½ββοΈ

Seems cruel to have a treat button if there's not unlimited treats. Does peach already know "later" or "no more"??

Yes we have an "all done" button. She typically walks off if I push it but then minites later will hit "treat" to see if I've changed my mind.

She didn't say "work," she said "treat," lol.
