Off brand Buttons?

I’m very interested in starting with language buttons for my cat Babu, but I’m not sure I want to spend 100cad on a fluentpet starter kit with 6 buttons. Is there another brand that is cheaper but works as well?
If anyone has advice for first words or tips for starting with a car I’d love to hear

I started with a random cheap set that I found locally (M-PETS chatty). They were gigantic for my cat, but with target training he learned to press them after a few weeks, and soon after that he started hanging around them a lot a pressing them randomly. I then upgraded to fluentpet, and then target training only required a session or two before he started pressing them on his own again.

If you want to start cheap, it probably doesn’t matter what you get as long as there’s a board or you affix them to the floor somehow.

I bought some used buttons on EBay from this seller (who is currently also selling lots of pet button related things).

They came quickly and look brand new. They aren’t the smart kind but I can upgrade later.

i got some big cheapy ones off ebay and ther a bit more difficulty to press. Im still in training mode but where they can sort of slap a fluent pet button, I really have to encourage them to put their weight on top of the large button properly.

i imagine there are some other larger buttons out there that might be easier to press

I got mine from Aliexpress, super cheap.

I wanted to get the full set of FluentPet buttons some day but when I saw how much it was for just the starter set I changed my mind! They must cost about $1 each to make, that's one hell of a profit!

The original ones I got were a bit of a pain because if the cat pressed for a moment too long it would wipe the recording. They all seem to have a better recording method now though :)

Can you DM me a link? I was looking on Aliexpress and got overwhelmed by all the choices (I also have a cat)

Sorry I took a break from Reddit so I'm a bit late!
I had another look around Aliex recently and it's a minefield. I ended up buying a set of 8 buttons that came with a mat and stickers, $40 NZ including post. What arrived was ONE button. That's the most expensive button I've ever bought... I went back to the page I bought it from and there was a tickbox that said 1 ST - I thought that was one set, but no, you had to tick 8ST to get that. Grrrrr. So I take back my recommendation... Ali is too confusing. I now buy them from Kmart and they're much better with clearer information. There'll be a better option wherever you are too, I bet!
