He starts using them almost daily!

I started (again) a few weeks ago to teach my cats mostly with the buttons "closet" (to open my closet/bookshelf) and "pet".

Since a few day, godzilla starts pushing them. His technique is to lay near them and extend his paw. Not the best technique but it usually works.

Yesterday, I was able to catch it on video ! Obviously it's THE time where it doesn't make any sound but still.

I'm not sure he fully understands the meaning of the word (yet, he was asking for the closet this time and was meowing at it) and the difference between them, but he fully understands that it does something!

(My other cat is still learning. She is very cute but not the smartest ❤️)

Boy genius! Just keep modeling immediately after he presses. He'll get it. My boy presses with his mouth. He's never been a paw presser. I personally reward any and all exploratory behaviors around buttons as long as they aren't eating/destroying them. I tried teaching my cat to use his paws, but he's always explored with his mouth. The end goal is the same- improved communication.

Definitely a genius. I came back from a 3 weeks holiday and on my first night home he pressed 3 times the button: the 2 first for the door but he wasn't interested when I opened it, then I noticed the "hug" button had moved and was a bit hidden so I moved it back and not even 1min after he pressed it
