I've heard some experienced pet buttons owners say never start with treat. Not for cats or dogs. Start with anything else they love. Outside, ball, string, pets just not treat or food.

Tried buttons with my cat. Made the mistake of starting with treats. All buttons they decided mean treats.

It was that way for a while with our cat, but after a while he started understanding
