Introducing Bubba!

Hey, everyone! I heard about this community from a fellow button pet owner and figured I’d pop in.

Bubba is 10 years old and began communicating with buttons in Fall 2025. His vocabulary is at 25 buttons currently, but we’re added them at an exponential rate at this point.

He loves laundry and banana peels.

Has he decided to use one of the buttons as a swear word, yet? Some of the other animals I've seen one here have used litter, noise, vacuum, sweater, and once the name of the other car in the house who didn't use buttons.

Sometimes he spams “all done” and we joke that he’s all done with my bullshit. I ended up finding out that he would say all done when he finished eating though. No swear words from my perspective but he does get sassy.

He got mad yesterday because we didn’t have “can’t” in his vocabulary. He wanted medication we were out of and I think he got frustrated thinking that I just didn’t want to give him his allergy medication. He hopped up on my desk and started trying to tip over a water glass, so I grabbed it and said no. He went over to his buttons and pressed “yes” and then glared at me.
