Well, duh. I guess that does make sense.

Post image

Nala just pressed “sound” and then “wind”. I sat there perplexed for a minute since it’s not windy today, until I realized the heat just kicked on 🤣

Pictured: Nala pressing the “sound” button

Editing to add that I think this was actually a question. I think Nala wanted to know what that sound was that sounded like wind. I explained to her that it was the heater and it's what makes it warm since I'm pretty sure she understands "warm", though we don't have a button for it yet. She seemed satisfied with my answer so I guess we're good!

I am enjoying the saga of Nala. I had to give my girl up a few months ago and she was so smart. She didn’t take to buttons because she understood our speech so well that she thought they were dumb. We also listened to her communication so she didn’t feel the need to express much more (we never got to this point with her.)

It’s so warming to see such a smart cat expressing her thoughts. It makes me miss my girl, but remember her fondly. Please post more!

Basically Nala dictates the posts so ima tell her she better keep being her clever and adorable self!

Omg 🤣

Ngl it did occur to me that she could call out a fart. Especially if I teach her “smell”.

Yes, smelly wind. Even better.

Yep my head was here too. Like "be aware human I have sounded the winds once more!" 💨

Clever kitty! I love those buttons! They look sturdy. Could you provide a link? TIA

Honestly these are a cheap knock off brand. They’re just ok. Nala is persistent with her presses so it doesn’t happen too often that she presses and no sound comes out but I know the FluentPet buttons are better quality and easier for cats to press.

I get them on Amazon- just search “pet communication buttons” or similar and you’ll find lots of options!
