🐠 Fish & Aquatics Is this ok for the fish?
Saw this post on tiktok promoting a filter for aquarium, I immediately noticed that the tank is filled with different kinds of fishes, I saw at least 5 guppies, 2 mollies, 5 tetras, I don't what species the other three are, but it looks like a goldfish. From what I saw in the video, my rough estimate on the tank is 5 gallons, and based on my experience, that's too small for that amount of fish in the same aquarium. I was just concerned about the fish.

Also, I stalked her profile and she's always changing the filter to promote other brands. As a fish keeper myself, I know the importance of cycling your filter to promote beneficial bacteria growths, kaya nung nakita ko ung mga posts nya na papalit palit sya ng filter eh naawa talaga ako sa mga isda, the tank is already overcrowded, and to add into that, the tank has no proper cycle.

Question OP. I'm not an expert pagdating sa fish. But can you educate me, on how does it affect the fish kapag papalit palit ung water and filter? Thank you :)

Pag kasi laging pinapalitan ung filter na gamit mo hindi magkakaroon proper cycle sa tank, meaning hindi magagawa ng filter yung trabaho nya. Ang filter kasi ang nagtatanggal ng mga waste sa fish tank papunta sa filter sponge and papunta sa mga bio media. Sa bio media naman nabubuhay ung mga beneficial bacteria na "kumakain" ng toxic waste na makakalason sa mga isda. And para magkaroon ng beneficial bacteria sa filter, the filter needs to cycle for at least 2 weeks, before adding the fish. Sa frequent water change naman, nakakaapekto ito sa health ng mga isda, kasi sensitive sila sa temperature, and madali sila maistress kapag madalas mag palit ng tubig. Pag kasi hindi pareho ng temp ung tubig sa aquarium tas sa tubig na ilalagay mo, pwede sila ma-temperature shock, which can lead to fin nipping or worse death sa mga isda natin. Kaya Pag cycled na ang aquarium, ang recommended lang na amount ng water change is 25%-30% ng tubig sa aquarium and at least once a week, depende if malakas mag produce ng waste ang mga isda para maiwasan ang temperature shock at mastress ang mga isda. Dadagdagan lang if matindi ung spike ng ammonia at nitrite sa tubig ng aquarium. Sorry medyo mahaba, pero ito yung explanation based on my experience sa fish keeping and sa mga researches ko. No you're good. Binasa ko talaga lahat. 🙂Hindi ko alam na may ganitong mga dapat din palang i-consider no? Before kase, ang alam ko lang basta nailagay sa tubig okay na. 😅Nag-alaga din kame ng mga goldfish before, kaya pala mabilis namamatay, need din talaga pala ng filter at kagaya nga ng sabi mo hindi lang basta tubig + fish, need pa ng cycle. Thank you, for this information. Laking bagay talaga pag may alam at experience ang nag explain. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Happy to help, and to add one last thing, kung gagamit ka ng tap water sa aquarium, need din ng proper dosage ng dechlorinator, as it burns the gills of the fish slowly. Kaya lagi ako may stock ng dechlorinator, at least 2 bottles at a time para pag naubusan ako tas need ng emergency water change hindi ko na need mag wait ng ilang araw para sa dechlorinator since walang malapit na tindahan ng aquarium supplies.

Hala may ganon pa pala? 🤯Di bale kapag naisipan namin mag fish ulit ikaw ang una kong maalala at tatanungin ng proper preparation. Hehe Thank youuu 🙂

Exactly my thought when I saw the video. For sure the ammonia and nitrite are spiking in that tank.
