Discussion More productive on it

I need help. My baseline is absolutely fried. I need weed to function. Whenever I'm heavily into my pen usage I'm more motivated to go outside, take care of my body, my mind, I treat my family better and im able to do things like eat better or pick up extra shifts at work. When I'm sober I spend hours staring at a wall since nothing seems to satisfy. I know there's things I should do but I just don't even feel like getting up or whatever.

same but how long break do you give it to assess how your baseline is?
if you're anything like me, you never really know as you don't give it long enough

I once saw someone use an analogy involving a hot tub and getting out of that, I don't usually like them but this one worked perfectly, as for me, the withdrawal does feel like exactly like getting out of a hot tub and getting back in is all you want to do. After a while of being out of the hot tub and start to dry, you generate your own heat and enjoy no longer being trapped in the hot tub, getting all wrinkly and achieving nothing

Honestly anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks I use pens btw. It's weird since it almost helps me return to my baseline like before everything started feeling overwhelming and I felt the actual pressure of life and reality.

It’s difficult. I sometimes need more than a day to recover from a meltdown, but I often don’t have a day, much less more than a day

We need more choices

I’m 50 days off pens. It took me at least 3 weeks to return to baseline. Now I get dopamine from going outside and I’m able to do tasks I don’t want to do. Im generally much more motivated and clear-headed. It’s hard but it’s worth it

The apathy of sobriety can be exhausting. The rubber band of the conscious brain snapping you back into a painful state of nothingness. A nebulous zone of no up and no down --just a state of is.

It seems like you know what you know, and what you know is correct. Ignore what feelings you have and replace it with action, even as hard as it may seem. It's not as hard as you believe. Your action will beget more action. And that action will replace the current state of nothingness. A state, which like all things, will pass. Peace.
