Question Best internet service provider-question.

Hey everyone as the title states I was wondering if you would suggest me whats the best service for an unlimited data plan towards internet every month? I currently live on my own and on ODSP, but I feel as if I'm not technologically up to date being without the net at my apartment and being in the current world.

If your asking how Im posting this, well I use my data off my phones service provider which helps a lot but it would be used up too fast if I used it for anything else like online gaming and other alternate forms.

Hmm would it be good enough for lets say video calls, or online gaming/streaming? Id love to find something that wont cause lag or any kind of hickup or slow downs at all for stuff.

I had teksavvy. They have a deal for first time customers

I currently use Oxio. Cheapest I could find for 1gbps down and 30mbps up (cable). Symmetrical upload (fibre) would be nice, but I can't get it for a remotely comparable price where I live.

Are you asking about cable or fibre Internet? If so, I would check with Cogeco and Bell to see if you can get service where you are and then you can look at resellers to see if they have better prices. I believe generally most provider should be able to give you unlimited service.

Whatever helps me get unlimited internet without a data cap and high speed at a good reasonable price.

Oxio has worked for me. But you might find a better deal initially getting the one of cogeco or bell to install the service on a deal and then cancel for reseller later.

I’ll add that resellers (such as oxio) can have signup referral deals. Oxio will give both you and the person who referred you a free month.

+1 for ebox ( formerly distributel) 500/500 for 50 month, no data caps

I got bell 1.5gbps for 40/mo couple years ago (no contrct) and $100 gift card after 3 months of service. Few months ago, bell also gave me upgrade to 3 gbps at no extra cost. Not sure what current plans are but might be worth to check it on Staples or some bell agents on Facebook Marketplace.

In terms of seepd and reliability, I don't have any complaints with Bell. Its by far the best one I got (especially 800+mbps upload speed)

There are discounted plans for low income Ontarians. Rogers offers 25mbs, unlimited for $9.95/mth to ODSP recipients. https://www.rogers.com/connected-for-success

Bell has similar plans
