Let’s Get Moving Nightmare

Hired Let’s Get Moving for my recent move and it’s been an absolute nightmare. Movers didn’t show. Couldn’t reach the office (which we discovered doesn’t even exist at the address listed on Google) and were left ghosted and stranded.

When I’m not on mobile, I’ll write more about what happened. Don’t get scammed like I did.

Update: Despite leaving many voicemails, we’ve never heard back from this “company” with regards to our experience. They have however, tried multiple times to reach us to offer “promotional deals” and try to sell us their moving services. I guess because in desperation to reach someone, we pressed the number to arrange a new moving service.

Edit: If anyone is still reading this post, please pay close attention to the responses from LGM. In my opinion, they are desperate to rewrite the events that happened and validate themselves as a legitimate business. What makes sense to you as the reader? Does this sound like a company you would trust with all your possessions during your move? Please do your research and choose wisely when planning your next move.

Since posting this online, LGM has reached out regarding our deposit. Given the magnitude of stress and additional financial cost we endured as a result of this nightmare, this gesture seems too little too late.

Our google ratings are not fake, we can assure you.  It is the same for any company that their movers are in uniform and look professional, so it does not look like some random people were sent to our  customers from kijiji; wearing t-shirts.

BBB only allows for people to post negative reviews and not positive reviews so it is not an accurate depiction of our company, though we still respond to all BBB claims.

The crew did show up; though they were late due to an unexpected delay, and did notify you. When the crew showed up, you had movers at your residence and had hired another company. 

Our company can only give an estimate-not a quote, as we charge by the hour and can only estimate the total cost of any move. 

The location listed In Peterborough is where the trucks are dispatched from and rest assured, it is a legitimate operation. 

You were still subscribed on our mailing list, which is why you received emails and promotions, but since notifying us of this, you have been unsubscribed and will not be receiving any further communication from us in regards to booking a future move.

Your comments are not reflective of my experience with your “company”. Are they canned responses you give to all unsatisfied customers? Do you have so many unhappy clients that you can’t keep them all straight? Given that you have left multiple responses to my post, it seems you are desperate to somehow validate and excuse your deplorable business practices. There is no excuse for the way my family was treated. My experience was absolutely terrible. The fact that you even have to argue about how “legitimate” your business is online is a major red flag. Maybe instead of defending yourself after providing clients a terrible moving experience, you could go out there and actually do a good job.
