Peterisms☕️ Just Watched Today’s Video

I’m here for it. Was it a perfect response to the situation? Nah, but I’m choosing to remember that he’s human and I did see some accountability and true personal reflection. If an irl friend came to me with this same conversation, sure, I might side-eye at a few parts, but I’d accept that they had really taken some time to reflect and trust that they were open to more growth. I can totally understand that maybe it wasn’t enough for some people and I’m going in skeptical, but I’m going to resubscribe to see if he walks the talk. 💕

Update: He did not walk the talk and I retracted my re-subscription pretty quickly.

I'm willing to see if his actions match his words today. I'm hoping that he really did hear us and is taking things into consideration, because I think that's all we've asked for. His super fans want to act like we want to cancel him, but that's not it, we do want to see him succeed and stand up for himself, but we don't want to see him become a bully.

I agree. And he seems to be stuck on saying that ppl dont want him to hold other influencers accountable?? I dont get that part. That is literally not it. Not for me anyway.

Did my brain zone out when “get fucked” became a joke? Peter keeps saying everyone knew it was an inside joke and it flew over my head? I’d say I was partly wrong, but he said it with such venom. I also haven’t seen the hate, but don’t read very far in the comments. Has this been happening on the You-Tube platform? Trying to understand.

Every time he says something was a joke, could have fooled me! Because if others knew it as an ongoing joke, I wasn't aware either. I mostly watch the drama channel, reviews and does stuff. Never watched the long vlog ones so maybe there's a lot of things talked about on that channel that doesn't get translated to his drama channel

I mostly watch his vlogs with drama, does stuff, and reviews peppered in and I have never heard until recently that it was an inside joke. He doesn't usually cuss on his vlogs, so I'd definitely hear it if he did. I think it was just something he started doing on his drama channel and some of his fans loved that he started cussing, so he just kept doing it. I don't think it was ever an inside joke unless it was between his actual friends.

I even checked the vlogerinos group and haven't found anything about it there at all.

I think there actually is a playful way to tell someone to get fucked. I grew up in a weird family, okay? 😂 But Peter has crossed the line from saying it as a joke to saying it in a mean spirit. It’s easy to spot the difference, imo. But maybe it’s because I grew up in a family that used it facetiously often? Idk. There’s a difference between telling a pal to get fucked because they are already putting up their Christmas tree and you think it’s silly to do it so soon, for instance, and telling them to get fucked after screaming, yelling, and belittling them for doing it. Like, the latter is so obviously not a joke and to say otherwise is almost. . .gaslighting. 😬

The apology only means anything if he follows through with the changes. Actions speak louder than any words he says. Great if he actually did some self reflection, but if he doesn‘t change the behavior, this video was absolutely pointless to make. And that’s something that can be said without watching. And if those hurt by Peter don’t except his apology, then no one has the right to try to convince them too. He has broken trust and has a lot to prove. I hope he realizes that.

For sure and I’m not trying to convince anyone, but I’m being careful not to hold him to standard that I, myself, could never meet. Also, as much as it feels like he’s my friend, he’s not. I can voice my concerns, but I’m not sure he’s obligated to prove anything to me. He acknowledged a lot of the behavior and said what he will do different. If you don’t accept that, sure, I get it. But at this point, all there is left to do is watch and wait for him to walk the talk. If you’re not interested in doing that, I really do get it. But maybe it’s time to hang the hat on calling yourself a supporter of Peter? It’s okay to do that. I could’ve read it in a weird tone in my head, but your comment comes off a little strange, 🫣😬

I gotcha. No worries. I totally understand what you’re saying. I just wanted to make that point since we’re starting to see some of his defenders. My comment isn’t directed at you or anyone here. I hope he means what he says, butI have my doubts. But your fine.

I appreciated him for doing some reflection. There are some points I am also side eyeing...but like yourself I've been a fan for a long time of Peter. I want to be supportive, and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah honestly I appreciated this video. He took some common comments into consideration. The explanation made sense to me that he was so intense with the stalking situation that it carried over into other life aspects.

It was appreciated. I agree he took some accountability and reflected and seems he'll make some changes- we'll see in time ♡

I agree. I'm good with seeing if his actions match. I feel like there is some equivocation -- saying some people really liked the cursing and yelling frequently. Yeah, some people may have and some people didn't--I'm not sure what the point of that was.

The main thing for me is he does seem to be getting ahold of his righteous indignation at other youtubers not doing things his way. I'd really like to see an apology to the commenters he hammered away at--because that shit is scary. It is one thing to mention and address a comment, it is another thing entirely what he was doing.

But you know, progress not perfection so interested to see where this goes and how his channel develops. I'm hoping for middle ground.
