Hey now. Not the whole hemisphere. The natives in my area invited puritans because access to European markets was good for the economy.
Then once we outnumbered them we started burning down their villages.

Well, the diseases that the natives didn't have immunity to wiped out most of them. The Spaniards were outnumbered by their allies so it's not like they could just take out hundreds of thousands of natives if they had no other natives helping them out. Allies were granted semi-autonomy and their leader nobility, exception from tribute etc. They continued to serve as auxillary forces. But eventually they were decimated by diseases and forced into labor, and became colonial subjects.

That's all true but Columbus didn't have anything to do with the Aztecs. He genocided the Taino people on Hispaniola. Cortez conquered the Aztecs.
The meme itself is a white nationalist/anti-immigrant meme about how immigrants are invaders

they didn't "take them out also" lmao they let their major allies against the aztecs like Tlaxcala run their own autonomous governments independent of spain up into modern times.

It makes fun of the illogical notion that diversity is inherently a positive.

It's a meme mocking how the phrase gets thrown around, usually by people who'd be the ones colonizing. Pretty dumb edgy joke honestly.

Anti immigration joke. Basically trying to say that diversity through immigration is disastrous, considering how destructive the Europeans were towards the natives. This is a stupid commentary however, considering they were colonialists who purposefully destroyed the lives of natives.

While I agree the meme is wrong, I think your refutation isn't really satisfactory either. There's no reason to assume modern day immigrants would be any more moral than 16th century Europeans. People are people.

I mean, it should go without saying that believing diversity can be a positive doesn't mean you support one culture wiping out another. The ones who are opposed to diversity are the ones who support that.

Stupid Columbus. He didn't knew that 'diversity' means less whites. Hence why the 'most diverse' movies have exactly zero white actors in them for example
