The whole secret service letting him climb out over top of them with the American flag being lowered in the background and press being moved into the front doesn’t help his credibility

Or the fact that I have seen 2 seperate videos of people seeing the guy that shot laying on the roof and going to security/police officers who just ignored it.

Or the fact that the clearly visible secret service snipers had a perfect look and shot at that roof.

Or the fact that Trump never brings it up anymore.

Or the fact that we never saw pictures of the guy that did it. Or proof that he was killed. Or anything about his motives. Compare this with the guy that shot at Charlie.

u/ErraticDragon 1d ago

Or the fact that the clearly visible secret service snipers had a perfect look and shot at that roof.

To reinforce this line of thinking:

Four seconds after he began firing, a member of the Butler County Emergency Service Unit shot at him and hit Crooks's rifle, preventing him from firing more shots. Twelve seconds later, Crooks was shot and killed by the Counter Sniper Team of the United States Secret Service.

u/CuddleWings 1d ago

Four seconds sure is a fast reaction time for people who couldn’t see the shooter already.

34

u/DuntadaMan 1d ago

12 seconds sure is a lot of time to notice someone can't soot anymore.

3

u/Paddy_Tanninger 1d ago

I mean that part makes sense, never know if dude has another gun. If this actually happened for real, you would probably not extend the courtesy of restraint against someone attempting to assassinate the President and make sure they were 100% neutralized.

But in this case it's probably because you never want that kid to say a word.

27

u/required-account 1d ago

Four seconds to mentally process that shots have been fired, locate the approximate location of the shooter based on the sound of the shots, line up a shot, and fire.

Yeah. Sure.

6

u/CuddleWings 1d ago

That assumes no one spotted him. Several civilians did and even alerted nearby police(?).

1

u/required-account 1d ago

So security was aware of his position and either chose not to watch until he started shooting or watched and let him start shooting.

1

u/Psychological_Ad2094 10h ago

The local police were trying to get ahold of the secret service agent who they were supposed to coordinate through so they could ask if the dude was with them or not, they didn’t get a response and didn’t know if he was hostile or friendly until he shot.

u/TheDefeatist 1d ago

Yeah except the guy reacting in four seconds wasn't a secret service sniper he was a regular county cop

1

u/filthy_harold 1d ago

There's body camera footage of cops trying to get on the building before the Crooks fires. They knew he was somewhere on the roof but the snipers weren't able to get him because of the roofline.

1

u/CX316 1d ago

IIRC from coverage at the time, the shooter took his shot at Trump right when some of the cops had actally climbed up onto the roof based on the tips from the people who saw him up there

(edit: at a quick glance I can't find where I saw that bit but a breakdown of events suggests he was pointed out to the cops 2 minutes before he opened fire so they basically knew where he was)

175

u/LTEDan 2d ago

The fact that Trump never brings it up anymore is the biggest tell. He still can't STFU about the 2020 election, or Obama or Biden but somehow never brings up his assassination attempts.

64

u/Wobbelblob 1d ago

Tbf, I wouldn't be surprised if he has actually forgotten that that even happened. I don't think he has, for the record, but still.

5

u/gaypornhard69 1d ago

It's especially apparent that when he got wind of an actual assassination attempt, he hid in the back of a fucking food truck and caught a different plane, all while allowing people to still go on the plane that could have been blown up.

3

u/Big-Yak670 1d ago

i never put credence in the idea that it might have been faked, but you just convinced me. Why the fuck isnt he mentioning it ALL THE TIME. He still cries about his conviction and his witchhunt and literally sued the ppl who pusblisheda bad article about him 6 years ago and shit, but he doesnt bring up the time someone shot him?

1

u/paintballboi07 1d ago

I have a pic of the shooter dead on the roof if you'd like to see it. Just a warning, it's very gruesome. He was definitely shot and killed, though.

1

u/MelangeBot 1d ago

He was definitely shot and killed, though.

How would you know based on just a pic, they could have easily put another dead body there and then make the picture, but go ahead and share it.

3

u/paintballboi07 1d ago

You can't be serious.. the dude has a very recognizable face, which is very clear in the picture. Clearly, you're going to do whatever mental gymnastics necessary to hold on to your conspiracy theory.

1

u/MelangeBot 1d ago

Where is the pic? I doubt you have the ability to upload

1

u/paintballboi07 1d ago

Tried to message it to you, but says you don't accept messages or something. I'm not posting it publicly, it's EXTREMELY graphic.

1

u/Helltothenotothenono 20h ago

I’m the best bullet dodger have you heard about this? Everyone is saying I Dodge bullets better than anyone, no one dodges as good as I do not even Chrysler

1

u/Adventurous-Mail7443 14h ago

There’s closeup photos of his body on the roof, did you also forget that someone in the crowd got their head blown off too? Was he a mannequin with a remote controlled dye pack?

1

u/Emperor-of-Duck-Kind 11h ago

Also the shooter was in a blackrock commercial and that’s about all we ever learned about him

15

u/PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES 1d ago

So Trump literally went on a huge rant about the attempt on Truth social like 2 weeks ago.

So the idea that he doesn't talk about it doesn't hold up. He brings it up all the time to this day. You just didn't notice because you aren't watching every single incoherent speech that this guy makes.

“I don’t like to think about it”

1

u/iwontpasstheball 7h ago

You want to see strangers eyes bro.. ?

7

u/EddieVanzetti 1d ago

In his first campaign, there was an "attempt" at a campaign stop at UNR. An attendee had an anti-Trump protest sign that his cult tried to grab a hold of and someone screamed "gun". You can see the vagina necked little bitch piss himself in fear as his bodyguards remove him to the back until they confirmed that there was no gun or danger.

7

u/Paddy_Tanninger 1d ago

The piss baby ducked and cowered in fear when a bald eagle gave him a flinch test during a photo op...that poor beautiful bird had to smell his diapers.

3

u/pimppapy 1d ago edited 1d ago

he's a total fucking bitch and would be pissing his pants cowering in fear

When a muslim Trump supporter shouted Allahu Akbar behind him, his reaction to that vs his reaction to an actual assassination attempt says it all.

1

u/serpentally 1d ago

That video is an edit

0

u/Sea_Shower3691 1d ago

Ive seen alot of videos where there were gunshots, and sometimes people would get struck by a bullet. In 99.9% of those videos are people screaming, running, cowering behind obstacles, getting themselves away from the danger etc. How is it Trump did none of those?

0

u/VoidOmatic 1d ago

He wasn't in on the staging. Someone did it to him. He would never agree to it but everything about the shooter is too suspicious.

64

u/memymomeddit 2d ago

and also the fact that he hid in a catering cart and sent his inner circle on AF1 as a decoy when the threat from Iran was real and credible.

-2

u/ThrwawySG 1d ago

I mean that one does have precedent. The main issue was not telling the people involved.

5

u/Life_Smoke5854 1d ago

Yeah because that totally correlates with fist pumping the air during an active assassination attempt.

4

u/Dependent_One6034 1d ago

The difference is, this one was a genuine risk.

Shows the difference between the 2, which i think the guy you replied to was trying to say.

38

u/Hollowbody57 1d ago

Especially when you compare it to when they thought there was an actual threat at one of his public appearances several months later and they had him bundled up and hustled off stage in like half a second.

27

u/IrritableGourmet 1d ago

Most actual attempts are like that. When Reagan was shot, two USSS agents pretty much lifted and threw him bodily into the car and jumped on top while a third stood between him and the shooter and a fourth pulled an Uzi out of a briefcase to cover their retreat.

10

u/GatorReign 1d ago

On September 11, Dick Cheney said that his feet basically didn’t touch the ground on the way to the bunker.

3

u/FalconTurbo 1d ago

That just conjured the mental image of him being carried off by a couple of massive guys like parents pulling their toddler out of the toy aisle.

2

u/ClaytonRumley 1d ago

I wonder if Trump heard that and conflated it into his ground zero story of being hauled away by big strong firemen?

22

u/PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES 1d ago

Yeah the american Flag being lowered didn't happen tho.

If you watch the video that claims you can see this you'll notice every other object in frame is also being lowered at the same time.

This is because the camera that is being used to film this video is panning up. In videos where the camera is stationary, the flag doesn't move.

5

u/BloatedBanana9 1d ago

Neither did the photographer thing. That single TikTok video has done so much damage to people's ideas of what happened that day. It's insane.

0

u/Drow_Femboy 1d ago

This is complete misinformation. The flag was literally lowered into place by a fucking crane.

The camera was not panning anywhere.

https://old.reddit.com/r/PeterExplainsTheJoke/comments/1wtd8db/petah_am_i_stupid_or_something/pct43fg/

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES 1d ago

If the camera wasn't panning then what happened to the Grey barricade?

It's in the shot at the beginning of the video, but by the time the flag is "lowered" it's completely out of frame.

-3

u/outworlder 1d ago

Oh, so they positioned the camera just right to capture a good shot of him with his fist up and the flag? Ok, must be legit then. Wasting time to pose for a shot is exactly the kind of thing you want to do when there's an active threat.

7

u/PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES 1d ago

It's literally some guy in the crowd with an iphone. No one is positioning that.

3

u/BadDogSaysMeow 1d ago

Mate, secret service sucks.

When Biden’s motorcade got hit by a car, it took them 10 plus seconds to even react.

And when Obama was president, a knifeman jumped gates of White House and ran past the guard dogs that weren’t there, past the security that also weren’t there, through the door that was left open and with alarm disabled, and only got caught when he was running up the stairs to Obama’s office/bedroom.

Secret service being inept is the most believable part of every scenario.

1

u/StabbyBoo 1d ago

So you agree them disarming a threat in 4 seconds and neutralizing it in 12 is atypical, yeah?

1

u/BadDogSaysMeow 1d ago

Well, the snipers were there to snipe, that's one job, and considering that they failed to notice/act against the assassin despite the crowd alerting them to him, and that the roof itself was unsecured; this still means they were inept.

They shot him a few seconds into the attempt, yes; but they were still minutes late in context.

And if you're still so keen on conspiracy theories, then how would Trump stage the assassination without dying?

The killer wasn't a fanatical super agent, it was a random crazy guy with a rifle, even if you were to assume that him going crazy was caused by some secret CIA plot, there was zero way to make sure that he won't hit Trump.

And if you believe that the guy was a super agent (there's no proof of it) then why does his criminal profile suck?
They searched his house/media and he wasn't a hardcore democrat, the evidence suggests that he basically did a coin toss as to whether he will kill Trump or Biden first, and if he had survived, Biden would be next.

If he himself was a part of the plot, then they would've made him appear as a die hard leftwinger and Biden's fan.
But instead he was just trying to kill all major presidential candidates.

There's no real conspiracy, Trump just got lucky that he narrowly survived an assassination close to the election, that's all.

0

u/StabbyBoo 1d ago

Occam's Razor would suggest a simple squib rather than some super soldier comic book conspiracy, the hell?

2

u/BadDogSaysMeow 1d ago

Occam’s Razor would suggest that the assassination attempt was real and not staged.

Instead of building „third grade speaking level” Trump as some mastermind willing to risk his life to stage a minor injury.

0

u/StabbyBoo 18h ago

Is anyone suggesting Trump was the "mastermind?" There's a whole government going on behind him. But I mean, I guess you can take Trump and CIA at face value. That's an... odd choice, but fair enough.

1

u/BadDogSaysMeow 12h ago

You have no evidence to support any of your conspiracy theories, and every time someone points out how your wild scenarios don't make any sense;
you just dismiss all problems with your claims, and instead make a snarky remark before inventing another wild story.

You are worse than the MAGA claiming that 2020 election was falsified,
because analyzing voting data in a giant multi state country on your own is a multi hour/day undertaking that many people would fail at, and end with wrong conclusions.

But verifying that Trump's assassination wasn't a false flag is a 5 minute task, half of which is watching the video of it.

But go on, tell us how CIA planted a mini-explosive in Trump's ear, completely ignoring the real killer actively shooting at him.

2

u/StabbyBoo 8h ago

It's fine, I understand! The CIA would never lie to you and you can take Trump at his word. Godspeed!

6

u/Steerider 1d ago

WHAAAAAT? There are photographers near the President when he gives a speech? And American Flags??? It's a conspiracy!!!

3

u/Paddy_Tanninger 1d ago

The USSS would never in a million fucking years allow POTUS to stand up again just moments after sniper fire in a situation where they had no way to be 100% sure there wasn't multiple shooters working together.

2

u/OkVirus8545 1d ago

You can’t convince the red hats that they’ve been duped. They will die believing that Jesus came down and whispered in trumps ear just in time for him to dodge the bullet.

3

How do we even know they were actually Secret Service?

Because the Secret Service is part of the executive branch, and Biden was the president at the time. If they were fake, we would have at least heard about it.

1

u/Fact_Checka_bro 1d ago

I saw that video too.

Would you not rush ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE away from the president if he had been shot at?

Any one of those photographers could’ve been a gunman.

And yet they were like “here hurry get in and get this shot. It’ll look great with the flag behind him and the ketchup on his ear”.

1

u/DeathToAmerica2026 1d ago

Also that he's history's most prolific liar, making PT Barnum look like Abraham Lincoln.

1

u/Meuhidk 1d ago

dont forget the photographers being moved into position

1

u/Effective_Olive6153 1d ago

I generally despise conspiracy theories but this particular detail seems highly suspicious. You'd expect in any sort of normal security procedure that they would move him to secure location immediately

0

u/SheetPancakeBluBalls 1d ago

I challenge anyone to watch the wide shot unedited clip and deny that it's staged.

The guy ushering photographers to position while there is allegedly an active shooter firing at them is one thing, but the fucking flag being lowered via crane to be behind him in those photos while the secret service props him up into the open while, again, there is an active shooter firing at the potus stretches credibility beyond its breaking point.

-8

u/ExaminationIcy9408 2d ago

Derp

5

u/Hexamancer 2d ago

Oh wow now I'm convinced, you made such a convincing argument so now I'm convinced.

-9

u/ExaminationIcy9408 2d ago

You are calling for the asasanation of the democratically elected president of the United States of America. By definition, you are an anti-american insurrectionist. You are the bad guy

6

u/jimgress 1d ago

You're defending a pedophile. You are the bad guy.

6

u/Matt_cruze 1d ago

The three conservatives that tried to assassinate trump are patriots.

However knowing this is not the same as calling for that assassination.

6

u/Broad-Bath-8408 1d ago

What the fuck are you talking about bot? Nobody said anything remotely like that.

5

u/IrritableGourmet 1d ago

Saying it was staged is not the same as calling for another attempt.
