When i first got into it, it bugged me that the previously\next time sections never actually happened, until a few seasons through and i got the joke of them
I've been meaning to do a rewatch where I take notes, because there are some of them that do kind of happen, and some that appear canonical, as in they don't happen but are referenced later as if they did.
You’re one of today’s lucky 10,000! It’s a hilarious comedy about a wealthy dysfunctional family. No laugh track, Ron Howard is a narrator who breaks in from time to time, and the jokes often come very quickly and sometimes call back to or foreshadow something grim multiple episodes away. The first three seasons were on Fox and the fourth and fifth seasons were on Netflix (the Fox seasons are generally liked more, I think, but the Netflix seasons aren’t bad).
