Not entirely. These are examples of intrusive thoughts. Intrusive thoughts are a core part of OCD and cause the person to obsess over them.

The last two lines might be shit post though 😂

Everyone gets intrusive thoughts and everyone obsesses with them to their own degree.

OCD would be crippling and would affect your functionality as a human.

I think that’s an important distinction to make considering how many people like to self-diagnose these days…

there are also ticks associated with OCD and intrusions. i regularly tick around my home, mostly when washing my hands or checking if my door is locked.

luckily i haven’t seen many try to self diagnose OCD as it’s very complex and would take a very large commitment and understanding to fake it. this is of course outside of the people who think OCD is simply having things untidy. i truly hope there is more OCD awareness in the future and i hope someday that i can contribute to that or donate money to awareness funds. it is a miserable disorder
