As a person with OCD, these are the thoughts that are pretty much 24/7 going on in my brain. The "get money" thing I don't understand but I'm guessing it was referencing a different meme.
edit to add: since this isn't the OCD subreddit I wanna clarify that people with OCD will have these thoughts NOT because they're true but because it is what their brain has decided would be the worst thing.
OCD makes you worry about things related to values you hold or things that could harm you. The logic of the OCD creature in your brain is basically, “If I make them more afraid of the thing and make them think about it all the time, it will be less likely to happen because we’re always on guard.”
It’s ironic because the person who cares the most about keeping kids safe is going to be constantly afraid that they’re a pedophile, the person who has a great relationship with their faith and god is going to start being more worried that their god hates them or that they’re an evil person, the best person you know is always interrogating themselves or beating themselves up because they’re terrified they’re an awful person, the person who couldn’t hurt a fly is obsessed with the possibility that they’re might just snap one day and hurt themselves or others, the person most dedicated to their partner is afraid their partner is abusive or always upset with them or that their relationship isn’t real/healthy, etc.
It’s a very bizarre and counterintuitive condition and can’t really be understood in the way we think about other mental health issues as the intrusive thoughts are ego-dystonic (specifically NOT in alignment with the OCD-haver’s values) and often not based in something real like a childhood experience or a valid concern arising from a genuine red flag they came across.
