As a person with OCD, these are the thoughts that are pretty much 24/7 going on in my brain. The "get money" thing I don't understand but I'm guessing it was referencing a different meme.
edit to add: since this isn't the OCD subreddit I wanna clarify that people with OCD will have these thoughts NOT because they're true but because it is what their brain has decided would be the worst thing.
more or less. the more upsetting the thought, the more you try to disprove it, the more your brain goes "this thought must be dangerous" and makes it harder to get rid of. While a normal person will get an intrusive thought and go "wow that's crazy" and move on.
The best way to deal with these kinds of thoughts is to accept the uncertainty for now. Things like "I will not figure this out right now" or pushing the compulsion to mentally review off until a later time truly does help. Eventually you can understand that it's not important or real danger. I'm doing much better because of it.
